Activity Description

Victoria Falls River Safaris offers you an excellent, personalized and environmentally friendly upper river safari experience. The specifically designed propeller-free safari boats have the unique ability of crossing the numerous rapids along the upper Zambezi River comfortably, and exploring the islands in shallow water.

The boats have cushioned seats, and are equipped with a bird book and map showing the route. An experienced skipper conducts your safari; sharing interesting information about the river, the wildlife, the people and the history.

Return road transfer to the Royal jetty from accommodation venues in the Livisngtone area.

Morning collection time at your hotel is at 08h00 for your Breakfast River Safari adventure which offers fantastic game viewing and great photographic opportunities. Muffins and hot refreshments complete your two-hour river experience.
The road transfer will have you back at your hotel by approximately 11h00.

Afternoon collection time is 15h30 in winter and 16h00 in summer for the Sunset Safari.
As the light softens and the wildlife heads to the river for their last drink of the day, your two-hour late afternoon’s game viewing cruise begins. Light snacks and sundowners complete this magical experience on the Zambezi.
Your road transfer will have you back at your hotel by approximately 18h30 in winter and 19h00 in summer.

Where The river boat safari departs from and returns to the Royal Jetty at the water’s edge. Return road transfers will collect and drop visitors to accommodation venues in the Livingstone area.
Weather All weather, should there be a thunderstorm or heavy rain, the river safari may be delayed.
What to Wear Comfortable Clothing with flat shoes Jumper or light jacket for the cooler winter months.
Things to Bring Camera with spare batteries and memory card Sunglasses, Sunhat and Sunscreen Inspect Repellent.
Guests or Spectators Visitors not going on the river boat safari are welcome to browse the curio shop at the Royal Landing, or purchase refreshments while waiting for the safari to return.
