Our Venue Hire options in Victoria Falls include ‘The Wallow’, The Lookout Café & outdoor venues alongside the Batoka Gorge or the Zambezi River.

'The Wallow' is part of the Wild Horizons Wildlife Sanctuary and Orphanage, situated in the magnificent Victoria Falls National Park. The 'Wallow' can be hired as an exclusive venue and can accommodate a maximum of 100 guests. 'The Wallow' facilities are available for use by the guests and these include basic cutlery and crockery for up to 50 guests. However generally a third party supplier is sub contracted to provide decor, catering, cutlery and crockery. Catering is provided by outside caterers. Wild Horizons can recommend outside catering companies.

As the Wallow is situated in a National park noise restrictions do apply and guests are asked to vacate the venue at a reasonable time, allowing the catering company to get the venue ready for the elephant activity early the next morning. Bar facilities are also the responsibilities of the catering company.

The Lookout Café is perched 120m above the turbulent rapids of the Zambezi River. The restaurant overhangs a giant chasm of the Batoka Gorge just downriver of the iconic Victoria Falls Bridge, which forms part of its spectacular backdrop. The semi open-air café, apart from offering undoubtedly the best view in Victoria Falls, offers a range of refreshing beverages as well as a lively cocktail menu. Wild Horizons’ famed high-wire attractions such as the Gorge Swing, Flying Fox, and Vic Falls Canopy Tour are operated from the café. This is the ideal spot for lunches in combination with a tour of the Falls or a high wire activity. Individuals as well as groups of up to 60pax are welcomed. with prior reservation.

Guests are driven to The Big Tree or Jetty Site for a unique dining experience. Set up under the stars, these venues provide a stunning setting for discerning diners. Guests can listen to the grunting of the hippo in the nearby Zambezi River and the yip of jackal in the surrounding bush whilst sipping on ice cold drinks.

A choice of either plated meals or a buffet is on offer. The buffet includes a plated starter and dessert but main course buffet. Due to the unique location of the venue there is only one choice of starter, main meal and dessert offered. However, if this cannot be avoided then a surcharge of $10 p/p will be levied. Requests for small private occasions in one of these romantic settings are also entertained. These include proposals, anniversaries, birthdays and family reunions.

Confirmation Of Functions: 30 days before function.
Décor, menus, drinks and wine selection must be confirmed 21 days before the date of the function.

A 70% deposit is required and must be made 30 days prior to date of function. The balance of the payment must be made 7 days prior to the date of the function. Bar Payment must be settled 24 hours after the date of the function.

Suggested Time Of Arrival

Arrival time at the dinner site is important. It is recommended that guests arrive at the venue after dark for them to fully appreciate the ambiance of the lighting and the setting Suggested time of arrival in the winter is no earlier than 18.30 Suggested time of arrival in the summer is no earlier than 19.30 Arrival times to breakfast and lunch venues are flexible as these hinge on the clients activities before. Transfers to and from the venues can be arranged through Wild Horizons. Entertainment Guests have the option of being entertained by a variety of performances. Shangaani dancing, Mkishi dancing, interactive drumming or a marimba band can provide an exciting addition to the evening that will delight and enthral diners. (Please note that these can be arranged at an extra cost)
