Canoeing on the Upper Zambezi – A photo journal
Where some may see a river, we see a road that begs exploration. There is nothing more tranquil than a body of moving water, and no sound more soothing than that of a singing river.
The Zambezi River is flanked by National Park, and an abundance of diverse animals and birdlife spill from the trees onto its banks. The channels we explore are magnificently diverse and breath-takingly beautiful, taking you to places that no vehicles can reach.
Guests are in control of their own adventure, and propel their canoes through the Zambezi themselves, drifting alongside a qualified canoe guide that will lead the way. They follow the same route that David Livingstone embarked upon when he first began his search for the rising clouds of mist, where he discovered “sights so lovely, they must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight”.
